My dear Mr. Morris,

            I beg to acknowledge your favor of the twenty-third of February with the certificates of Award of the “Temple Gold Medal.” The medal was duly received on February twenty-sixth.

            I beg you will convey to the committee of awards my fullest appreciation of the honor conveyed upon me which I gratefully accept.
