My dear Morris

The “White Bridge” sent you this year is not the one you had last year. I built a new bridge and this is a new picture.

            I had Alden’s water-colors sent by express to you by Powell and Budworth knows nothing about them.

            A happy new year to you.

            I wish it were snowing instead of this rain.
