Dear Deming,

Your postal card came to-day. The doctor, is up again, and [convalescent]. Our exhibition was a financial success and we realized about $7,500 between us. Be sure and see those fellows I gave your cards to or you might find Boston dour. Mr. Metcalf left for Boston to-day and you can find his address at Eastman Chase’s art gallery, 7 Hamilton Place. I could only make out part of your postal. The same success with the photographs you made of our exhibition. They were nearly all exposed twice. Elsie sold for 195 and the Quail Cover for 375.[1] The thing was a success.

            Very truly, J. H. Twachtman

[1] Elsie (P.901) and Landscape (OP.813).
