Dear Sir

Two of the pictures you asked for are sold and can not be had at present. Then there was delay because the pictures were sent to Boston from Durand Ruel and were only returned last week.

I should like to exhibit with you but fear that now it is too late.

I wish also to tell you that under no conditions will I send pictures through the agent you have in the J.__________________
