My dear Mr. Gest

From your letter I gather that only seven pictures were sent you. I wrote to Doll and Richards (and also telegraphed today) to send you my pastels, ten in number, and my son’s ten sepia drawings.

Do not hang the things until you have the whole number.

Tell Duveneck that he sometimes fails to answer letters he receives!!!
