My dear Mr. Gest

I wrote you last week regarding my pictures and that I had to change dates. I hope you got the letter and the change does not inconvenience you.  My show opens on March 4th and closes on March 16th after which I can let you have them. You will understand and appreciate the importance of a show at Durand-Ruel Galleries. I can not miss the opportunity which only comes to one once in a long while and I am making the effort of my life.

Give my regards to Duveneck and the rest of the gang.
