Selected Literature
From American Art Association 1925
A runnel of water, winding through the centre of the landscape, is encompassed at left and right by the pale green mounds of its banks; in the middle distance, along its course a group of four stripped trees. Across the background, in the pallid winter light, stretches a fantastically shaped gray curtain of woodland.
